The HP 74XL Ink Cartridge last twice as long as a regular type 74 cartridge does. The Cartridge is a little longer but most modern HP Printers will accept it without modifications. It does come with a heafty price tag with most HP 74XL Ink Cartridges selling for an average of $27.95. There are some good bargains if you can snag one on eBay. I caution everyone on the use of refilled cartridges. Most Modern HP Printers use estimated Ink Level Indicators which tells you when to replace your cartridge. Remanufactured or refills do not employ such devices so your printer may report that it is out of ink. Another consideration is the quality of ink and how they are sealed. I recommend always to use New Ink Cartridges from HP only. Using Compatible or refills may damage your machine. Printers are not cheap.

I got this ink cartridge much cheaper than I would at Office Max, and it works like a charm. Just make sure you buy the OEM product!

I only rate it "good" because I hate inkjet printers.

Larger than the standard cartridge and recommended if you do alot of printing. Buying this item online is greatly cheaper than purchasing from local retailers.
