Black Elk Speaks by John G. Neihardt (1988, Paperback)

My transaction was excellent and the book was like new.
The book is a must read for everyone who cares about spirituality and our history. I highly recommend it.
This was our book club's selection for November 07 and my reason for it's purchase.

The book is in good condition, the price is reasonable, however the delivery time was too long. I expected to receive the book within a week, or 10 days at the longes, but it took a month or so to get it.

I had to buy this book for school. The book i received looked practically new and didn't smell funny. I was happy because normally the books I order are crumpled or smell funny. I was happy with the book itself. The story is a whole another thing though. It took a while for me to read it, but I would recommend to read it.

This book is told almost entierly from Black Elks perspective which gives it a very intimate feel. It is an incredable story of someone who lived through, and fought against, one of the most tragic events in human history. Black Elks story is a window to an otherwise dead culture and link their history for his people.

This book explores the parts of American history censored by schools that every American should know about.

I do not understand what people saw in this book in years past.
I could not relate to the stories that Black Elk told.
As a history book it is very valuable but not as a novel.
