Black & Decker DCM18S Coffee Maker

what i liked about it was its size just enough any more coffe an it would not go to waste. I bought it for my dad who can only drink 1 or 2 cupps a day and would drink the whole pot better than throughing it a way.
things did not like it was very hard to find .it was the only one i saw for weeeks.

Black and Decker has been making this model for a very long time - got to tell you something about its usefulness.

Good:
Makes a great cup of Joe - one of the few true cup at a time makers that still use real grounds rather than pods.
Get this model rather than the smaller version - this one will accept bigger mugs, otherwise they work the same and take the same filter (should you need a replacement for what ever reason).
The filter is completely DW safe.
Quality is excellent and its pretty rugged but I do buy a new one about every 5 years or so since they're so cheap.
Bad:
Wish the top part was removable for easier cleaning - can get residue on the filter cap after repeated uses.

I like the option of being able to use a paper filter, I like my coffee very strong so I grind my coffee beans almost like powder and then I use about twice the amount that a normal cup of coffee would take. It makes my coffee perfect and very fast and also a nice full 15 ounces, not a 10 or 12 oz. like most single cup makers.

Again this was a gift, so i am not in a position to rate it. I selected this because, we have one very similar and are pleased.

I so love this coffee maker. It brews the perfect cup each time. The permanent filter cleans in a breeze.
The travel mug it comes with is the best, it keep my coffee hot for a long, long time ( over an hour) this is truly the best travel mug I've ever had.
I'm the only one in my family that has a cup of Java each morning, and I honestly don't think I would without this coffee maker.IT ROCKS!

I think the only thing that could improve this machine is a timer.This is my second one....My old one is going to my work, so I can have it at hand. Starbuck - Sumatra fills the hold house with the best aroma, Mmmmm. And the price you can't beat.
I've never seen Black & Decker make anything bad, & they won my vote on this one!!!!

it 's special so special I bought it and it works great and why am i reviewing a coffee maker? it mkaes ONE cup at a time isnt that wonderful?

nice, small, easy to clean, fast and efficient. beats running to the restaurant every time I want a quick cup of coffee. would recommend to anyone with limited space and time at the office.

I love this coffeemaker. I only drink one mug of coffee every morning so I always felt guilty about pouring good coffee down the drain. This Black and Decker is exactly what I needed! I love it. It makes coffee in just a minute or so and is ready to go. No leftovers to feel guilty about! BJ in Texas

My husband got this for me. We use a bigger coffee maker for morning coffee, but I also like to have tea later in the day. With this brewer I can make fresh hot or iced tea. It's so fast and easy to use and doesn't take up much room on the counter. The brew and go cup even fits in the car cup holder if I want to take it with me.
