Product Information
Two RS-232 Line Drivers in one card. Operating at 2-wire half duplex or 4-wire half- or full-duplex in point-to-point or multipoint applications, these dual driver Cards communicate with one another in sync mode. However, when they're connected to an async RS-232 computer, they automatically perform sync to async conversion. The cards support speeds up to 57.6 Kbps at a distance of up to 20 miles (32 km). Each card consists of two units - a Front Card and a Rear Card. The Front Card is the main module; the Rear Card is the interface module. Because you can plug the Front Card into different Rear Cards, you get several interface options. Other features include hardware and software flow control, V.54/V.52 diagnostics, LEDs, transformer isolation, surge protection, automatic equalization, and automatic gain control.
