Bitter Shovel by Outspoken (CD, Feb-2003, Lava Records USA)

I heard one of their songs on Pandora Internet radio, and I liked that the lead singer reminded me of Default. Is this band like Default? Well, no, they are more in the Nickelback family, if you ask me.

The lead singer is easy to listen to-- and for the most part, the music itself sounds like something right out of Nickelback's The Long Road cd.

The songs I like most are "Feel This" "Deeper than Down" "Elastic" and "Guidance". The rest blend in easily and sound very similar to each other, which is why the rest of the tracks are just "ok" to me.

Normally I would use Sony's CONNECT music site to purchase only the tracks I liked, but this CD was only a few dollars on ebay, used. So for basically the same price you get every track, and can see for yourself what you like.

If you are a fan of Nickelback, this CD is a must own. I think Nickelback is ok, I could take them or leave them, you know what I'm saying? But I like that the lead singer sounded a bit like Default, and I love Default, so that's why I got it, and that's why I enjoy it.
