The Birthday Cat is a beautifully illustrated picture book by the artist Lesley Anne Ivory. The book is the theme of a set of collectible figurines which I began to collect several years ago. I have the complete set of figurines and love having the story behind the set. As a story book, it has stunning paintings of cats and a cute story. It is usually hard to find in a newer copy but library editions are occationally available. If you don't mind some wear and library stamps, it is a wonderful book to own.
