It is an excellent reference guide. We have 2 bird feeders and needed to identify some of the birds that were visiting. It also gave us tips to attract other types of birds such as the goldfinch.

A good quick reference resourse for getting the basics about the birds visiting my feeder. After I got my copy I purchased another for a friend.

I just got the book and I LOVE it! It is small enough to fit in your purse. It is full of color photos. Each page has a photo and the opposite page has the description and specific information about the bird. It has photos of both the male and the female. And it is a book showing the birds of my state. It is exactly what I was looking for as an animal lover and a bird watcher!

The book is divided into individual category by the color grouping of birds,such as mostly blue , mostly brown , mostly green , etc...

Great information and clear pictures that help identify precisely which species you've encountered. Birds are grouped according to color which makes searching easy. It was purchased along with a birdfeeder as a gift. It also serves as a reference when camping and hiking. An excellent choice for youngsters.

Excellent PA bird Book. If all you know about the bird is the color, well then look up the color and you will find the bird. Wonderful book.
