The Birds of Costa Rica by Richard Garrigues (2007, Paperback)

I bought this book for a trip to CR, combining research and pleasure. It was quite helpful in the field. I identified several birds (e.g. different tanagers)with it. I took a tour with one of the contributing expters to this book while there. This book and that contributor (Marino Chacón) helped me spot the Quetzal!

On the downside, I did stumble on some local names of birds (in Spanish and Indian names) that I did not find in the book. It might be helpful for some of the local Spanish and Indian names to be included, at least selectively.
