Biography - Santa Claus (DVD, 2005)

A & E'e Biography of Santa Claus was actually a little disappointing. They did give many interesting facts about the origination of Santa Claus and how he has developed over the years, however I expected more from A & E. All of the basics were covered from St Nick to Rudolph to 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and the progression was well done. The video is about 50 minutes long and I felt they were, at times, just filling in the time rather then taking it a few steps further as I've come to expect from them. It is an excellent quick overview of the history of Santa.

This "Biography" version was good but the "A&E" version that was put out in 1994 on VHS was much better both hosted by Peter Graves and both 50 minutes long but it went into more detail with more information and more video clips. Too bad they didn't mix both together to make a longer more comprehensive version. So, if you are a Santa collector and can find the older version you should get it when you can.
