Biography: Amelia Earhart
How difficult to capture what one is really about, especially if the person is shy . There was a lot of footage of Amelia being interviewed, commentary about her nature, interviews with her sister and a cousin, a concise history of the "conditions that prevailed". As the film unfolded, one begins to realize how simple and limited the instruments and communications were on airplanes at that time, and how brave the people who flew them. It didn't gloss her image, and spoke of her short-comings, but also showed the difficulties and limitations she had to deal with. At the end of the film, I felt I had been given a glimpse of an amazing, sweet natured, ahead of her time woman. From her youth until her death, her tenacity prevailed.
