  Great concept- NO STORY

This game portrays a very new and advanced concept (for it's time, that is.) You can hover in the air, an used advanced weapons, and even guns in a fighting game (it's not you're average hand to hand combat game.) My only problem with this game is the fact that there is no story mode, however only an "arcade mode" which is easy and breazy. However if you can find this game for under 10 bucks, and you enjoy the "Mortal Combat" series, then i would definatly give it a shot.

  Creepy "Freaks"
Review created: 01/10/00

Pros:
A whole new twist

Cons:
Funny control, grainy

Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. is the heavy metal fighting game. Street Fighter is more like classical music, and Mortal Kombat represents alt-rock. I say this because each game has its own persona and Bio Freaks comes across as a Motley Crue, Pantera-type game. Moving along, Bio Freaks is not a great game. It has a large list of faults. The graphics are grainy and slightly distorted, but this actually betters the game, lending itself to the apocalyptic world of its storyline, though more viscerally-inclined gamers may not like that aspect. The sound is loud and obnoxious. The guns fire, the blood spurts...

  Funky Fighting Freaks
Review created: 05/12/00

Pros:
Futuristic Fighting

Cons:
Too gory

This game is cool in many ways! Due to the fact that this is the far future toward biochemical manufacturing gone mad. The characters are all unique of their abilities and appearance. An example: Sabatoge is a normal person but has a backpack load of spears and a gun on her hand that can change weapons! Her weapons are powerful and can knock off a limb (Literally). Another wild feature is the loss of limbs. Once the limb is off, you can't get it back until your next round. This loss of important body parts happens only when you are damaged enough to the point of a snapping of a muscle and...

Interesting at first, but novelty wears off

Pros:
Arms falling off, neat characters, you can fly!

Cons:
Hard to control, kinda drab-looking, sounds need a lot of work.

The guy on the cover is Zipperhead, how's that for interesting? I tend to read the manual before starting the game, so it was interesting reading the story and personality description behind each character. Unfortunately that story never makes it into the actual game, nor do their personalities. This game had great potential. With so many mechanical and maniacal attachments the possibilities for cool weapons and moves are endless. And the fact that the stage you fight in are 3d and usually fully navigable (some stages have things that can hurt you, like lava or spikes) is pretty neat. You can.

  Super Freaky
Review created: 01/14/00
by: azreal -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Very different fighting game

Cons:
Limited gameplay, very hard

Biofreaks is a one or two player fighting game. There are 8 different warriors to choose from. Each warrior has many movies unique to that character. All these moves can be learned in the practice mode. This game is violent, since the players punch kick, shoot, slice and impale each-other. The player can also lose their arms if they receive too much damage, and they can be decapitated. This is a cool game, but not that cool. If you have to pay more than 20 buck or so its probably not worth it. The game has little replay value and is very tough.

  Gore meets bore !!!
Review created: 09/24/00
by: acidmaxx -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
The Gore...the characters look is cool !!

Cons:
Gameplay, sound, no storyline...

Well this is my first opinion for a game and i plan to make a good darn job at it. Ok so one day i went to my rental store and i see this goofy looking dude with blood and spikes coming out of his head on the cover box and i say to myself this must be a good game. Then i rented it and i got home for my first try of the game...well it wasn't that good. At first you get excited by the way the warriors present themselves and the weird stuff they say(impossible to understand due to lack of sound), then when gameplay takes over it gets ugly. Combos, special attacks and even simple kick and punch...
