Bingo (DVD, 2003)

This is a cute movie about a dog who performs in the circus. As a puppy he was terribly frightened by a fire and is just really scared of fire. One of the tricks he must perform has to do with fire and he will not perform that trick. The Master Circus Leader is really upset with Bingo and tries to kill him. The Circus Leader's wife stops him. Bingo is now part of another family where the boy truly loves him dearly. The boys dad is a famous football player and is transferred to a different state. Unfortunately, they cannot take Bingo along with them. The family moves away and Bingo goes through all efforts to find his boy friend, traveling and avoiding all dangers that come along. It can bring a tear to your eye!

I bought this on impulse since we love funny family movies, especially ones that revolve around dogs. And there were some very funny scenes that had the guys in my house laugh out loud (I'm sure you can imagine why). But once we had watched it, I had to double check the rating, which was a surprising "PG". I was surprised because of the language! Even the kids get into the act with "holy s***" and other choice phrases. With the language used, it really should be rated PG-13. Next time, I'll do more research before buying any family movies.

Saw preview, looked funny. Liked that the animals act like humans. My kids love animal movies - A+ from them.
