Synopsis The actor and musician Billy Connolly's wife, a psychologist, narrates his life, beginning with his Glasgow birth in 1942. Abandoned by his mother, he and his sisters were raised--cruelly--by aunts, and he was also sexually abused by his father. From his unpromising roots, plus subsequent drug and alcohol addiction, Connolly went on to achieve many things, from a featured role in the movie MRS. BROWN, to a Ph.D. from Glasgow University.
