BillieI love this movie! I first saw it in my teens and could relate to the character's feeling of confusion since I was also a tomboy. Patty Duke has always been one of my favorites. I decided to buy this copy for my daughter who recently left home and wanted to take my copy with her.

This is a classic...Not great cinema - but a fun movie for those who may have seen it in the movie theaters. My girl friend and I sat there and believed that this was what it was like to be a teenager...dancing, singing, Jim Backus as a dad, and a magic music theme in one's head to speed up running! Fun to watch if you're in your fifties now!
