Surpassing Rhino's earlier dancefloor roundups of late-'70s hits, this 1978 edition of their Top Dance Hits series really packs in the cream with such disco royalty as Donna Summer's "MacArthur Park Suite," Sylvester's "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)," Chic's "Le Freak," and A Taste of Honey's "Boogie Oogie Oogie." The "filler" is not half bad either, including a glitter-ball anthem by the Village People ("Y.M.C.A"), Peaches & Herb's glib two cents ("Shake Your Groove Thing"), and Voyage's bit of Euro-club issue cool breeze ("From East to West"). Don't just sit there and watch those LED meters in the dark! Get out on the floor and enjoy a meaty dose of all-nighter fun. ~ Stephen Cook
