A Christmas Gift... You Don't Want to Go Home But...

Have you ever started to watch a movie and thought "Why am I watching this?". Then before you know it, it's over and you're thinking "This was really good!". This is one of those movies. It's the story of a family that goes to mom and dad's new house for the Christmas holiday. They bring all of their problems with them and since mom hid the television (although one son does sneek one into the basement) you get a look at a family dealing with their troubles. Mom's desire for a nice, happy, family Christmas doesn't seem to be working out. Her outrage, expressed at the Christmas Eve dinner table, is worth the price of the movie. In the end, as the families pack up and head back home, not all of the problems have been solved, but the family does have a Christmas to remember. I enjoyed this so much because it reminded me that our families aren't perfect, even at Christmas, but that doesn't affect the special time that Christmas is.
