Bill & Gloria Gaither Present: South African Homecoming by Bill & Gloria Gaither (CD, Mar-2007, Gaither Music Group)

Bill and Gloria Gaither's Homecoming Friends have literally travelled all over the world presenting their concerts in a variety of cultures. They have tried to offer different musical styles to these areas and usually include some songs that have a local flavor. This particular edition uses a large group of African children who sing with their local harmonies and rhythms in a collection that is absolutely unique to any other music you've heard. There is also a Christmas program on another CD/DVD that brings this type of music. These are particularly interesting because the Gaithers and their Homecoming Singers are shown going out to meet people in their native land. This not the collection that I play most often, but is certainly one that I enjoy when I do.
Seeing these singers adapt to the locale of their concerts is amazing.
