Album Notes Recording information: 2005. Imagine the early-1970s-era Stooges and the New York Dolls flashed forward in time and transformed into Australian surf-punk artists and you'll have a pretty good idea of what the Goons Of Doom sound like on their recording debut, the obsessively enjoyable BIKIE ZOMBY. The surf kids from Down Under exhume the gnarly spirit of 1977 in all its raw, energetic glory in the three-chord headlong rush of tracks like "That One" and the marathon punk-rock outing of "Long Haircut," while the infectiously amateur "Blood on the Streets" makes practically anything in Green Day's radio-friendly oeuvre sound like the product of a teen focus group. The only problem with the EP-length BIKIE ZOMBY is that it'll leave you instantly craving more.
