Entertaining and Darkly Humorous

This movie isn't laugh out loud funny, like what you would expect from Pegg or Schwimmer, but there are many instances of grim humor and ironic twists in the film that keep you alert while watching. I would envision it as somewhere between Shaun of the Dead and Garden State, as far as the comedic tone goes.
I really enjoyed the film because, though it is a twisty-turny crime thriller, it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's realistic enough to believe the characters are in trouble/danger most of the time, but it's still light enough for you to get a chuckle out of the next unexpected thing to happen, as a simple plan goes spiraling out of control.
I would highly recommend picking this one up - it's an excellent break from the more serious crime dramas out there. The acting is good, the characters are believable (even when they're unbelievable), and the writing is fresh and fun. All in all, a great way to wast 90-odd minutes of your evening.
