This book has been very handy for me as I explore Watercolor painting after a 25 year sabbatical. The explanations are good, and the book is indeed FAT, or full of examples and step-by-step practice lessons. Over the holiday(2006) I did a study on desert colors. Continuing the landscape theme, I used an exercise from this book in June 2006 to practice painting forests. I documented the steps I took and scanned in the piece at variuos steps along the way. It was a fun project! Compared to my three other watercolor books, this one is my favorite!
