This is a great book for people that want to learn bead work. Every thing you would need to know about how to make anything to do with beads.

The name on the book is why I bought it.. It just sounded good to me and I wasn't wrong.. This book covers everything to do with beading, all the different kinds of beading.. Crochet, knitting, tatting, you name it it is in there.. And the patterns that are in the book are wonderful.. So precise in the directions.. What can I say "I Love this book, you won't go wrong if you are interested in beading and don't know how to even get started.. Buy this book it is the book of "All" books!!

If you are seriously into beads, love looking at them, reading about them, finding out about them; playing with them, you will love this book. While eautiful color on the jacket of this coffee-table book makes it nice to look at, this book is also very informative. Regardless of whether you are a newbie beader or a seasoned professional, you will find something new to know about beads and beading in this book. I have sat down with this book at least five separate times since I received it a little over a week ago and I've been beading alot during that time. It inspires one to play with the beads, to explore what you can do with them; and to learn new techniques with which to work the beads. I can't wait to sit down with it again and explore its bounty.

I like it very much and this is a book for advanced in beading. Is very difficult to find a book like this. Very special price and very fast shipment.

I like the historical side of the book, but it smelled qute musty. Very detailed and informative though.

This is a must book to own for any beader. The patterns and designs are great and the directions for them are easy to understand. Lots of colored photos too.

Bead Patterns are easy to read and fallow, more patterns then I expected. Very nice. A great addition to any library.

As realatively new to beading, I have purchased a few books looking for answers to my many questions. This book IS WONDERFUL. I wish I could have found it when I started. So far I have purchased 4 copies for my friends and family. I highly recommend this book

I purchased the book "BIG BOOK OF BEAUTIFUL BEADS" a couple of years back when I first started beading. This book covers everything from showing you what tools ,threads, wires, and findings you need to use; shows techniques from making a jump ring to how to do the Peyote Stitch. There are six chapters, 510 pages full of anything and everything you need to know about beading.
Mrs. Gourley covers every question that may arise during any project you may be working on. I call this my "BEAD DICTIONARY". I would recommend this book to anybody that is just starting to bead or to the most advanced beader. It has alot of great information and beautiful color pictures showing each finished project.

Being a beader, I thought that this book would give me guidlines for projects I don't usually deal with. The book was above and beyond my expections. Beautiful pictures, great instructions and so much more. There are so many different techniques in this book, including some for French beaded flowers that I paid far more for in an individual book on the subject that I had purchased. A winner!

About two years ago I bought this book on eBay. When I received it, the cover was upside down, but I didn't care. I was able to learn all types of beading stitches from this book. When I don't know how to do something, I look it up, and the explanations are easy to follow.

This is a great book for the beginning beader, the person who just wants to learn new techniques, and for the advance beader as well. All beaders should have a copy of this book in their library.

The book has beautiful pictures and easy to follow instructions. I love picking it up and just looking at the pictures.

I enjoy looking at eye candy, especially pictures of an artist beadwork. Seeing what the artist sees, and how the piece evolves is always facinating for me. I enjoy Jeanette Shanigan's work and wanted to buy this book just to get something from her. The three other authors were new to me, but I enjoyed their work that was highlighted in the book. If you want to have a guide that is full of helpful and useful pictures that will inspire and show you how to create eye candy of your own, then this book is a sure winner for you.
