Beyond the Da Vinci Code
“Beyond the Da Vinci Code”, from the History Channel and A&E Television Networks, delivers what it promises in the title with a thorough examination of historical elements and controversial ideas included in Dan Brown’s novel, The Da Vinci Code. With stunning cinematography and recreated historical events, this program brings to life key elements of the Da Vinci Code plot including; the origins of the Knights Templar, early records of the Priory of Sion, Mary Magdalene, theories of the Holy Grail and hidden interpretations in the masterpieces of Leonardo Da Vinci. History buffs will certainly enjoy the detailed examinations of subjects from Dan Brown’s novel that have now become so familiar. Although the historical details are complex at times, the program progresses quickly covering the many historical elements with thought provoking analysis from scholars and experts.

First; This program maintains a careful and balanced viewpoint of the historical events and provides extensive analysis from scholars to explore conclusions beyond the chapters of the Da Vinci Code novel.
Second; The cinematography and time lapsed sequences are not only visually striking, but also very effective in creating a sense of movement through time from the past to the present. The images of historical figures fading in and then fading out and vanishing in time is very effective.
Third; The overall quality is very good and the material is thorough and comprehensive.
(The total playing time is 90 minutes)

Interesting check of Dan Brown's Novel with facts avblI liked it for the way they packed all the information about the Vinci Code and beyond........... killing the myths out and putting in the facts in comparison with Dan Brown's best seller. Disliked the lot of questions they left without the asnwer preety much like Dan Brown's novel.

great movie...still pondering it.I will take this movie at a distant. I beleive in jesus it is nice to have the thought that mary was held in such honnor and glory in god. I will have an open mind. It is a beautiful story. It show that the women mary that was condenmed so low as a prostitue is looked at in a beautiful women who carry a baby yes without marriage in the legel way is honnor so much by god and jesus which i beleive is one. That god would even have such respect for the women. In this day of age how maybe the twisted conscept of women being all so badly treat can be so honnor in gods eyes.....god love and jesus in the womb of mary makes me beleive that maybe this is our delimea......which god love us with faithfulness even in the worst of condition.

The DVD of the original, The Da Vinci Code, is a film I could see over and over. The 'Beyond.....' is only a rehash and not worth the time or money.
