Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning (1999, Paperback, Reissue)

It was a wonderful story with romance, fantasy, even, unexpectedly, time travel. If you have read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, I think you'll enjoy this. Karen Marie Moning rights about Highlanders in medieval times. There are fairies (not the kind you'd think, but an advanced civilization who lives among the humans, who might possibly be aliens) interwoven throughout her books who cause mischief with the humans, both past and present. I limit myself to just reading on the trolley to and from work, and my 1-1/2 hour ride goes so fast, I'm home before I know it. She's a very good writer and her characters are believable. The old Scottish legends come to life in her books. Very entertaining.

I really Like Moning's work. They are a light enjoyable read. Very romantic but tend to have the same love scene verbiage, not that I don't find it very HOT!!! I have all of her Highlander books and intend to read them all again. I especially love the vow the highlanders make to their ladies. If I ever decide to marry again I might just use it! I have the newer addition of this book. For some reason I find the dark covers more intriguing and sensual.

LOVE THE SERIES AND JUST HAD TO HAVE IT TO READ AND READ AGAIN. LOVE THE CHARACTERS AND THE WAY THE AUTHOR WRITES.

I absolutely love Karen Moning's books and this book certainly lived up to my expectations. It is one a of series of Highland Warrior books and a mixture of magic, time travel, humor and love.

I'd read so many good reviews on this book, so I decided to buy it and read it for myself. I love Scottish love stories, and I must say this one was one of the best that I've read! It is the story of Hawk, a ruggedly handsome Scottish Highlander and a modern day woman, Adrienne de Simone running from things that have turned her life upside down and a wish by a friend that upendes both of their lives. She is snatched out of her time and thrown into the sixteenth century by a wickedly handsome fairy, who has he own agenda. This is an absolutely wonderful story rife with gypsies, fairies and magic! Ms. Moning keeps you on the edge of your seat as to whether Adrienne will stay in the sixteenth century or stay in her own time! There is so much suspense and the story is fast paced! The ending was delightfully appropriate for the story. This was a great book!

LOVED THE BOOK--Karen Moning never disappoints--must read if you have read any of her Highlander series or Fever series

Solid historical romance. I like the author who tells a readable story. Combines romance, history and the fantasy all in one neat package.

What I like most - is the speed of the shipping. It is not so close from Russia to USA, but I've received this book just after 14 days after it was send. I decided to buy it because I like to read books in original version, and it is hard to find such books in Russia :)
I haven't one negative moment with this buy.

I love books of all kinds,but the paranormal romance is what I have found myself reading alot of these days.And I also love a good series.
