If you love great murder mysteries you will love this book..I have personal experiences with Dr. Bass. I attended the Body Farm back in 2004 and graduated from the academy. Trust me you will not be disappointed with any of his readings.

) I purchased this book because I enjoy reading about Dr. Bass and the Body Farm. This book allowed me to go beyond what it takes to work at the body farm and how science can learn from the program. There is so much to learn about the decomposition of bodies that it helps people catch criminals and learn about the events leading to the death of a person. I have been reading nonfiction books about forensic anthropology and other forensic fields for quite some time and this book is one that I highly recommend to curious readers.

About Beyond the Body Farm & Death's Acre
) This is a continuation of Death's Acre--which details the beginning of the "Body Farm" located at the University of Tennessee & referred to by Cornwell's novel of that name. Not a novel, this book includes actual cases which debunk myths of tv shows (time frame, etc.). For viewers of CSI, etc., and readers of modern mysteries which use a lot of forensic evidence, this is excellent background reading. Dr. Bass has taught many of the forensic scientists in the US and is one of the big names in forensics. Both books are easy to read, entertaining as well as informative and reinforce the idea that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Also, both authors are great speakers, personable, down to earth, and a bit humorous.

Very InterestingDr. Bill Bass the founder of the "Body Farm" is a fasinating person with many talents including writing a very most interesting forensic book, he also wrote the book Deaths arcre's which talks about the start of the body farm and why. Because of the Body farm Forensic science has been able to make huge leaps towards solving any crime involed with death.
Beyond the Body farm talks about Dr.Bass's most unforgetable cases that never left his mind for long. Being able to solve most of them Dr Bass says some still talk to him. I find it very interesting from the beginning of the case and everything done and the hard work and time put int to solving the case. The forensic tools used now is absolutly amazing.
