Beverly Hills Chihuahua (DVD, 2009)

This 91 minute film tells about a pampered Beverly Hills chihuahua named Chloe (voiced by Drew Barrymore) who, while on vacation in Mexico with her owner Viv's (Jamie Lee Curtis) niece, Rachel (Piper Perabo), gets lost and must rely on her friends to help her get back home before she is caught by a dognapper who wants to ransom her.

In the meantime, Papi (voiced by George Lopez), a male chihuahua who is in love with her is in pursuit of her. Papi's master (Manolo Cardona), a handsome young gardener for Viv, slowly develops a romantic interest in Rachel.

Chloe befriends a lonely German Shepherd (voiced by Andy Garcia) who travels with her to protect her from the evil Doberman (voiced by Edward James Olmos) who wants to return her and her diamond collar to the dognapper.

As a dog lover, I loved this movie. Ever since I fell in love with the Taco Bell dog, I wanted a movie filled with chihuahuas. The flow of this movie was free and easy and had many valiant and noble gestures of kindness embedded throughout the movie. The children loved this movie and kept them on the edge of their sets. The desert canyon scene was one of my favorites and is very unforgettable.

Don't miss this family movie for any reason. The dog chatter was more believable and sincere than the human script! hah. See you in the funny papers!

This movie was awesome with good storyline and tons of laughs. The animation was unreal. The main chihuahua is so adorable, loved it's voice. Believe it or not its a love story, comedy and about friendship. Watching this movie I felt like I was on a journey with all these dogs. nice

Ever since we took our 5-year old grandson to see this last fall, all we hear is "that little doggie" movie. When will we see it again? How is that little dog doing? Great movie for anyone wanting to enjoy quality time with your children or grandchildren. Actually, quite a decent story too. Great photography with outstanding locations.
After watching for awhile, you may become convinced the animals are really speaking!

this movie did very well at the box office and if you want a good laugh this movie is worth the time to rent it first to watch. then decide if you want to buy this movie. lots of good humor in this movie. worth the time to rent and a good laugh. this movie is about a pooch who is pampered and is lost in mexico with no place for a pampering. that is all i can say about this movie. go rent it and have a good laugh with this movie.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua is an adorable movie. It was a refreshing change to the usual gore that most movies offer today. It was just a funny and sweet story that you could relax and enjoy. No nasty words. Also the other little animals were just amazing. I,m so glad I bougtht this, as we shared watching it with our family and friends. They all enjoyed it as well.

I rented this movie and then just had to purchase it. The characters are funny and believable. Even my 82-year old mother--who NEVER finds a movie interesting enough to watch it all the way through--watched this whole movie and loved it as well. If you like animals at all, whether your a man, a woman, a teen or a child, this movie will make you feel good.

This is a delightful DVD for the whole family. It draws you into the hilarious adventure of a spoiled Beverly Hills chihuahua in Mexico and how she fights to return to her family and the friends she makes along the way. I will make you laugh and fall in love with Chloe and chihuahuas in general. Must see.

Well, this movie was the first movie my girlfriend and I we saw, this movie represents all for us so this is a special movie thats why I bougth it.

I bought this movie for my Chihuahua. She gets excited when she sees dogs on TV. She loved the movie which made me happy that I bought it. I enjoyed the movie as much as my dog did. Not a real brainy movie but cute. I would recommend it for other dogs who like to watch movies.

Boy, I hope I'm not being generous but I don't want to think about it too long. I admit to seeing this, at least halfheartedly with some multitask work. I enjoyed the vocals by Barrymore, Lopez, and Guzman... Garcia was a drag in his effortless monotone work, but I mean come one, what is this? Oh yeah, another movie where we film animals and manipulate their mouth movements via CGI.

I'm a little upset, because I bought this movie, and we collect the rewards, and they was NO reward points in the case. It was supposed to be brand new.
