In Between Dreams [Digipak] by Jack Johnson (CD, Mar-2005, Universal Records USA)

Ok, so you know how most pop artists that get big and grow in popularity eventually make a dozen albums and the true fans always say the early work was the best. That argument may still fit JJ years from now, but right now I think he just keeps getting better.

I listened to an interview of Jack, and he said that when he made this CD that he did what he always does when he records music. He gets his friends together, goes out in the garage (which is still make shift with foam insulation on the walls and a simply recording setup) and just plays his music. He talked about how he can't do it any other way and that he likes to back home in Hawaii when he makes his albums. The flow comes back and hes able to clear up. I think this may be the reason he will never "sell out" or lose his smooth touch. He is just a real guy who makes great music. It comes from his heart and hes less affected by the materialistic world of America, and in particular celebrities.

In the interview he said that this CD is much brighter and happier than ones in past that were much darker. This is true, his past albums were more about social injustice and wrongs of the world. I can still hear some of that in this CD but there is more sunshine and hope in this one. I dont think theres any reason to stop singing about the wrongs but its nice to have a change. He also said that the birth of his child just made him a different person and that shows in this CD, brighter and happier.

I have too many favorite songs to list any. I would recommend you buy it and find your favorites.

I purchased this CD after hearing one of the tracks on the radio. The tune made such an imprint on my noggin that I decided to get one. After a few clicks on Half.com and a week of anticipation, I received my new 'favorite' album.

If you're looking for easy-listening music that you can use to color the air while you work, this is it.

I had one other Jack Johnson CD and was happy to see a new one come out. He has such a great sound. If you have liked Jack Johnson in the past, he will not let you down with this CD.

I am a big fan of Ben Harper and a friend turned me on to the similar stylings and sound of Jack Johnson. I was so impressed that this was the first of Jack's disks that I've bought. It flows so well. Every song is so good. This is a disk that I listen to alot, and I am currently seeking all the rest of his works for my collection. If you like Ben Harper or indie music with multiple different influences (reggae, folk, rock, pop, blues) you'll love this artist and disk.

I decided to buy it because I love Jack Johnson! You say here that we can't talk about the seller but the thing is I never received the Jack Johnson cd! this person took off with my money! so i'm afraid that I'm rating Jack Johnson when I am really rating the person who sold it to me.

I love the sound of Jack Johnson's voice. In Between Dreams is the first CD I have owned by Jack Johnson and there will be more. I like the music and the fact that anyone can listen you don't have to worry about inappropriate lyrics. I decided to purchase this CD because I couldn't get enough of the song Break Down. I have found there are other songs that I like just as much.

What more can you say about Jack Johnson?!?!? He's fun, quircky, and clean. All of his cd's are a must!

This is probably one of the most listened CD in our car....it is played so much that even our son knows the lyrics!!! Yes, it's that great!!!

I love all of Jack Johnson's work but this CD might be my favorite. Banana pancakes and Do you remember can always cheer me up and I can't help but sing along.

By far his best album. Every song is great, and the cover art is one of my favorite album covers ever. The album might as well be labeled Jack Johnson's greatest hits.

Loved it! what else can i say I think one of the best of our time. I love all his cds! Next im buying his CURIOUS GEORGE cd and is already one of the best cd i have ever heard. I love the song on it called upside down. Jack Johnson's style is very cool to me very real makes me want to go sit at the beach and watch the sun set. I have one of his cds on when ever I have a BBQ and im out side enjoying good times. If you dont have one of his cds, get one here on ebay, it will not cost you much and its well worth it.

I love the CD I allready have one but i gave it lůike a present. Perfect. No problem with posting or enything else. Just great. I was expecting 3 weeks or more but It was mine in les than 14 days.

Every CD I've ever bought came in a plastic case. This one came is a flat piece of cardboard. The picture in the item description IS a picture of the CD you're getting unfortunately if you don't look really really close (who does? It's a CD) you won't notice that it's not a CD case but a piece of cardboard. It's a gift so I haven't opened it yet but I'm assuming the CD will be in good shape.

Additionally, this seller DOES NOT leave feedback. I paid immediatley....nothing...left him positive feeback....nothing....used "contact seller to ask him to leave me feedback.....nothing. He's one of those sellers who has already established himself on ebay so he doesn't care about the "little people."

I bought this because one of the songs (Better Together) on it was used in my son's wedding and I LOVE IT. My daughter-in-law has gotten me IN TO Jack Johnson and now I want everything he's ever done. I got the CD so quickly and have been listening to it ever since.

I love this CD. Probably his best in my opinion! It just puts me in such a good mood when i listen to it. He has such a soothing voice and his lyrics show a real talent. I highly suggest anyone who loves a layed back beat with great spirit to get this CD

I am just a big fan of Jack Johnson. From the very first CD I purchased, "Brushfire Fairytales", I've been hooked. It promotes calmness and awareness at the same time. "In Between Dreams," is no exception nor diviates from his formula, awareness + fun = excellent album. Keep on rockin' my friends!

Great CD if you love the guitar and relaxing in a hammock. Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams is one of my favorite lazy day CD's!
