Movie Description
In this semi-fictionialized biopic, Paige Richards plays 1950s Playboy Playmate and pinup-girl sensation Betty Page. Buxom and raven-haired, Page quickly became a naughty sex icon in the 1950s, and then scandalized America by appearing in short erotic bondage films by the "King of Pin-Up," Irving Klaw. The films attracted the attention of a Senate subcommittee on pornography and decency, which led to the end of the careers of both Page and Klaw; after the trauma of these events, Page withdraw from modeling and the public eye, eventually becoming a born-again Christian and suffering several mental breakdowns. But as DARK ANGEL proves, her short, electric career had lasting effects on the American sexual psyche.
