Betty Crocker's Picture Cookbook by Betty Crocker (1998, Loose-leaf)

I have had a lot of cookbooks but my favorite is always the Betty Crocker Cookbook. The reason is because no matter what I needed a recipe for it was there. I especially liked the helpful hints, measurements, and cooking tips.

My current Betty Crocker cookbook is held together with rubber bands and tape. I have gotten alot of use out of this cookbook. Highly recommend for a beginner and a reference for the experienced cooks.

just what my mother wanted and the price was great! it has all the recipes from the old days and the turn outs were awesome. I think this was a great investment. Afterall the selling prices in the magazines were so high so it was nice to know that you can get the book without spending an arm or a leg.

This facsimile copy of the original Betty Crocker 1950 Cookbook is perfect. I have Mom's well worn original cookbok, complete with missing pages and lots of spills on the pages. We all learned to cook from Mom's book, and it is fun to have a fresh copy to share with the grandkids!

Excellent condition. Identical to our original. Very good service from the seller. We have had one for years and the recipes are easy and taste excellent.

The cookbook arrived well-packaged and in excellent condtition. I bought this for my daughter. This is the same cookbook that I learned to cook from that my mother had while I was growing up. I wanted to let my daughter learn grandma's way of cooking, and hopefully she will pass this down to the next generation.

This cookbook is my favorite of all time. If you know absolutely nothing about food, cooking or entertaining, then this is your "must have" book!
If you are a great cook, then this book has great recipes and maybe even an old time trick or two!!

I bought this book as a gift a friend had a betty croker 1950's cookbook and it was lost. So she was happy it didn't have all the same reciepes and hers wasn't on a ring binder, but she is very happy.

These cookbooks are all you will ever need if you've never even attempted to cook a thing.
They will teach you everything about utensils, pots, pans, ingredients, herbs and cuts of meat. What to use, how to use it, when to use it and when not to.
It will also teach you how to host a buffet, dinner party, or brunch, super casual, to formal. It's all in there!
If you are a novice or a pro, have fun. Try some good' old fashioned' All-American cooking that originated on the four corners of the earth. Enjoy!

This is an incredible book about an era in cooking that is no longer here. The detail from what kitchen items you need, to the photos and the last section about being a good housewife are priceless.
I bought several copies of this book for friends who love certain recipes, and I was impressed with the detailed recipes myself.

I love the fact that it is in binder form. The pictures are very good for showing how to do something.

This was my mother's favorite cookbook and hers is falling apart. Unfortunatly she died before I could give it to her.

For a bachelor who learned what he knows about cooking from watching his mother, who is a great Southern cook, this book provides clear instructions and measurements along with recipes for great-tasting food.

I have my mother's original well-worn and loved 1950 edition with which I learned to cook. Through the years, many of the recipes I've shared with my daughter have become favorites with her family, so when I saw this reprinted edition, I decided to get it for her. She is thrilled to have direct access to the recipes, tips, and instructions with how-to photos which she's using to introduce her daughter to cooking. It very well may become a Four Generation Favorite!

I treasured my mother's cookbook for decades. As a child in the 50's, I watched her creating many meals with it open on the counter. When she died in 1965, I kept the cookbook not only to remember her by, but for my own use. For 40 years, it was used constantly until it fell apart completely in 2005. I never thought I'd be able to find the EXACT book in perfect condition, but I've been looking for a replacement since and was THRILLED to find this excellent copy of it, and at such a great price! Seeing it on my countertop brought back many lovely memories. I will treasure this new one from now on, and leave it to my own daughter someday.

I love cookbooks and old recipes. The pictures are great and it is easy to use as it is indexed and in a notebook format so it lays flat. It is also a history of food, since recipes come in and out of fashion and evolve.
