Betty Crocker's Cookbook by Betty Crocker (1984, Hardcover, Revised)

I have been looking for this book for along time. I tend to wear out cook books that I really like. I had the original Big Red, loved it. Went through 2. This is not the same printing but it has most of the things in it I wanted. Thanks

This is the cook book I grew up with and learned to cook from. Im so pleased to find another copy as my previous one was given away by a family member. I recommend this book to any person wanting to learn to cook or anyone looking for simple and delicious recipes. Can't wait to send this one to my 20 year old daughter.

My husband bought me this cookbook for our 1986 wedding. Once I got over being pissed off about it, I realized that this is one of the best gifts I've ever received. It is now well worn at 23 years old and I just purchased another "vintage" copy for my daughter on Ebay. If she uses hers only a fraction of the time that I've relied on mine, it will be well worth it.

I bought this cook book because of the history of it... and I LOVE IT!! It has all the traditional recipes that my grandmother and great grandmother used. I would recommend that if you have the opportunity to get this cook book you DO IT!!

I thought it was a book, but it was a cd. It was a gift and she liked it. It made a good stocking stuffer and my new daughter in-law was pleased it was on a cd.

My kid sister and I embarked upon our own "traditions" of course during the holidays. One of the best was the gift of Betty Crocker's Cookbook back in the early 70's. I'd given her, her very first cookbook. I had no idea back then it would become such a hallmark in our lives. Finding this cookbook now, before the revisions changed some of the recipes is difficult. However, it is that book that she now wishes to give to her daughters.

I feel your putting this on a cd was genius and a blessing to those who can appreciate it. Who knows how many generations that particular version of the book might touch once the well worn pages in these books are handed down and the cd to breath life into how great great? grandmom took such care to cook for her family.. and the memories that might be inspired. Even son's being sat to decorate the cookies.

The book itself is tactile, the memories inspired by aroma's from the kitchen no less important. Therefore, keeping the book available for use in modern kitchens no matter the generation .. is exceptional.

I too had the same story as the seller. I've loved this cookbook because with it you can cook just about anything from scratch with common basic ingredients. My original cookbook is worn out from use and I was please to find it on CD so that I will never be without it.

I HAD GOTTEN A BETTY CROCKER COOKBOOK AS A GIFT BACK IN 1984 AND I USED IT ALL THE TIME. IT WAS GETTING OLD AND RAGGED,SO IT WAS TIME TO REPLACE IT. I USE IT SO MUCH FOR SO MANY NEW DISHES, I NEVER GET TIRED OF IT. SO THATS WHY I GOT ANOTHER ONE ON EBAY.

I already have this cookbook and I love it. However, it is falling apart and I wanted a new one to replace it.
