The Better Life by 3 Doors Down (CD, Feb-2000, Universal Distribution)

This is a very melodic set of songs on this cd. The band really hit it outta the park because even though this would be called alternative it satisfies a wide audience of rockers and people who like softer lyrically based pop. What I noticed the most about this release when it was new was the vocals and the messages that the song tried to convey. I would agree with the earlier reviews (put out by the record label) that 3 Doors Down is a bit like a heavier version of Matchbox 20 and that is just fine by me because its not too heavy and not too light, just right for good driving music or to be played to a wide audience of friends at a party to satisfy most musical tastes.

This is the third time I've purchased this CD. My son "borrowed" the first copy and my husband "borrowed" the 2nd copy. I'm hiding this copy. I appreciate each piece on this CD and find it to be great music for driving.

it was a good cd, and i enjoy it very much. not a scratch on it!! I have always enjoyed 3 doors down music, and this Cd completes my collection. I believe this cd is just as good as the other if not better. I don't have much more to say, just that i like the cd a lot.

my girlfriend loves 3 doors down so I got all 4 cds by them for her for christmas and she loved them

I like and or loved everything about the CD ... love 3 doors down !!!I wanted to buy it so that I would be able to finish my collection of the 3 doors down Cd's .. I was able to get it at a resonable price came right to my door and it was in perfect shape .. It is a great cd and band and i will keep looking on ebay for anything that is 3 doors down .

Better than I expected. I've heard a few of the songs before, but the ones not played on the radio are pretty good.

i love everyone of the songs on this disc. i bought it due to its low price. i hope to buy more from them especially from 3doorsdown. i look foward to more music from them in the future .they are so awsome

I don't know where I was when this CD came out....I must have been living in a cave. I remember Kryptonite and a couple of the other songs but for some reason they didn't hit me....til now. I heard Duck and Run on a local rock station and loved it, so I decided to get the CD. It was an immediate hit with me. I can't believe this CD is 9 years old...the music has certainly translated well almost a decade later. I will definitely be getting the rest of their work.

I was very pleased with the quality and the packaging of the cd. there were no problems with it i would order from them again.

the songs are good and some you can't download, so you have to buy the cd.I enjoy alternitive music and 3 doors down is one group that plays good music.

I bought this because the band was popular a while back and I never gave them a chance. The first song is so cool about superman and kryptonite. I wanted to hear more songs about superheroes like Matchbox 20's song is about the same thing so that it makes you wonder who copied who. Anyway the rest of the songs on this album are not about superheroes, though they should have been. I can't make out what any of the songs are trying to say. I think they should have paid more attention in school and this would have helped when they sat down to write lyrics. The music is ok, but no superhero hooks, just a whole lot of effort to fill up the rest of the cd with competent but not vital rock.

Purchased for my daughter for xmas just a week before the 24th, so of course it was late, but I was not suprised. She still loved it late, and she had a voucher in her sock for it, she was just waiting on the mail. Thanks for shipping so fast.

I bought this cd recently and must say it was worth it. I like this band and there music. There are deffinently some good songs on this cds and is worth the buy.

Great music at a reasonable price. I bought The Better Life by 3 Doors Down approximately 3 to 4 weeks ago. The CD was great condition and the music is the best. I would recommend this CD to anyone
