I have read all 3 of Randall Arthur's books, starting with Wisdom Hunter, then Jordan's Crossing, and Betrayal. His books are stories centering on extreme legalism in Christianity, and the harmful, damaging results to people of faith. Handled with great sensitivity, two of the books are action filled thrillers. Wisdom Hunter was recommended to me a few years ago, and when I finally read it, immediately looked for more of his writings. I highly recommend them.
