I first saw this book in one of those magazines that they send to your house, trying to get you to buy their products. I thought, 'I bet I could get it cheaper on ebay.'
Most of the books I have ever bought were informative, or self-help, not just for entertainment. If I bought one about someone, it was non-fiction. I would never read or buy a romance book.
I'm no spring chicken, so I figured if these books were passed on to my children or grandchildren, they might just learn a thing or two. You can't be too smart or too rich, you know.
I have enjoyed reading this book, but I wish they would have broken it down into more categories than they did. Maybe they could have had one whole section for all of the best, one for all of the worst, and one for all of the most unusual, or written 3 separate books.

OUT OF DATE!Yes, granted this is 2008, and I am reading a book published in 1994, but I felt like I was reading a book published in 1945. I felt that all the references were to ancient...did we not have any Best, Worst, or Unusual happenings, after 1950? There are some interesting parts, but unless you are over 70, you will not be able to relate first hand....
