The Best of W.C. Fields (DVD, 2000, Comedy Classics)

Being familiar with some of his full length movies I thought this "Best" of collection of shorts would fill a void -I don't see how this DVD could be called "The Best of" the golf & dentist bit were Good-unfotunatly the 3rd disappointed-probably because of better expectations due to the title "Fatal Glass of Beer" good thing it was cheap-would not pay a normal asking price of over $10

Being a WC Fields fan, I wanted to begin a collection. This DVD turned out to be a few of his earlier "shorts". While initially disappointed that it did not feature movies I had known (eg. "Never give a sucker an even break" "Poppy" etc.), I later appreciated the context of these shorts and saw where a few of Fields skits were later used in his full feature films. Overall a bargain and must have for a collection and one interested in some historical background on Fields development. That said, You will want to spend the money and buy the full collections of his later films.

This is a classic W. C. Fields Dvd. It is just like I remember, except the picture is so much clearier. I like the episode about the dentist the most.
