The Best of the Moody Blues by Moody Blues (The) (CD, Jan-1997, Chronicles)

Not a bad remaster. Very dissapointed about cropping ending to Nights In White Satin!!!!!!!!!!! Come on! What in the world were you thinking?

After seeing this group in concert recently I had to have the songs on this CD. These guys can still belt out the tunes after all these years. Having the CD is like being there again and again. I would recommend this CD for anyone, any age. It's a classic.

This is a great sampling of their music and talents. Highly recommended. I think it's the best of the "best of" mixes.

I bought this because the Moody Blues are one of my oldtime favorites from the 60s. Excellent sounding voices and Great songs! Highly recommended! "Tuesday afternoon" is one of my favorites.

The Moody Blues, an unusual 60's group because they often used a huge, symphonic orchestra in their arrangements, told song-tales that touched many then and might touch you now. (No, I am not an implanted suck-up promoter, I am a real, discerning listener and lover of dynamic/poetic rock music.) If you faintly recall them, you will probably love the high of hearing them anew; If you have never heard them, of them, it's time to introduce this vintage, superb music to your brain.

I've given this cd the top rating because they're such musically talented artists with deep and heartfelt thoughts. I've always loved the Moody Blues and have seen them many times. Hearing this cd brought back so many good memories of my youth and that was well worth the purchase. Would highly recommend it.

I purchased this CD because I heard the song "Tuesday Afternoon" on a VISA commercial. I vaguely remembered hearing this song as a young child due to the variety of music that was in my home. I didn't know the artist so I "googled" the title. I took the CD on vacation with me and found out a song that I had on a 45 record disc was also on there(Nights In White Satin) my only Moody Blues record. To have both on CD is absolutely wonderful. I love it! I love it! I love it!

I bought this CD because my 11 year old daughter loves the credit card commercial about taking your daughter to the aquirium on a Tuesday. When I told her that the song was from the 60's she didn't believe me. I bought it to prove to her that it really was a song heard on the radio. Now, we listen to "Tuesday Afternoon" almost every day. She is starting to enjoy the whole CD!

An excellent collection of their hits - they are all real production numbers. The orchestra always adds to the selection and puts it over the top.

Compilation of greatest hits by group that have withstood time and continue to draw great crowds even today with their music! How can you go wrong with such long time standards as Knights in White Satin and Tuesday Morning! It just doesn't get too much better!

I am really enjoying this album...all of the music is terrific. I bought it after hearing Tuesday Morning on a Visa commercial.,,fell in love with the group. I am much older than the average Moody fans but appreciate their sound as much as anyone.

I loved the songs on this album! So many wonderful hits. One of my favorite CDs. A true joy listening to every song!

Great cd. We're of that generation and still listen to mostly classic rock.

First, even though I consider myself a Moody Blues fan, I did not realize that GO NOW was their song. Imagine my surprise when I heard it as the first selection!! And when they got my attention at the beginning, they didn't loose it with any of the selections on this album!!! And even though I would have liked to hear more selections from the album done with the London Symphony, the offerings here are the Moody Blues at their best and Justin Hayward at his poetic best. I would recommend this collection to any music lover, fan or not!!!

I've been married to my darling for 25 + years and just recently found that she is (was) a fan of the Moody Blues. SOOOOOO, I immediately went on E-Bay looking for the perfect gift. And, of course, I found it. She loves the CD and now loves me even more.

The orginal CD I received skipped in several spots. I returned it and received a new CD with no problems. Very pleased woth the service.
