It is a fully compatible Data/Fax modem in compliance with all ITU standards, including the popular V.90 technology. It runs on all laptops equipped with Type II or III PCMCIA slot and has advanced MNP 10-EC which ensures consistent and reliable connection rates at the most adverse telephone and cellular conditions. Extremely low power sleep mode conserves power when your modem is not in use and wakes up when it senses activity such as an incoming ring or a modem AT command. Plug & Play by the nature of PCMCIA standard specification and without configuring software, the Smart One 56K PC Card Data/Fax Modem is installed as simply as "plug & dial". Hot Swap lets you remove or plug in the modem card with your computer's power on. No need to turn off the computer.
