Benny Hill: Complete and Unadulterated - The Naughty Early Years: Set 2 (DVD, 2005)

My great grand father was a straight laced Christian man. But in the short period that he took care of me in pre-school youth, I learned what a fun loving man he was. I basically did'nt have a curfew during my stay with him in Seattle and that first time he walked into the living room past midnight to catch me watching Benny Hill certainly meant my demise. How untrue; His cheeky nature found him sitting down in the rocking seat and watching many an episode with me. Even the sped up chase scenes in which Benny would cop a feel of some fancy bird as they snaked across some British garden would spark a giggle and a reasuring pat on my hand, letting me know a little low brow humour won't kill you.
This set is very comprehensive and nicely packaged. I haven't recogized an episode from my youth yet, but that was some 30 years ago. And, I haven't bought the whole series yet either. I highly recommend it.
Furthermore, Benny Hill himself was quite an altruistic individual and truly was a saint. There is much more to him than slap stick. go ahead and Wiki or Google him and get the full story.

Benny Hill is one Of my all time favorite comics. I started watching him when he was on the ETV channels. I hated his untimley death.

DVD was excellent. I bought the dvd, remembering of the old shows we as a family watched on our black and white 20 inch tv. Every week we had the same shows, same time.
