Beneath (DVD, 2007, Widescreen; Sensormatic)

I'm easy on horrors, a good one is hard to write (that contains everything) but this movie was GOOD! A twisting, keep you guessing, suspense, mystery, and and story line. Gorefans STAY AWAY, this movie is not for you. But if you're a horror, mystery, suspense, fan this movie is for you. It's a little sad though especially ending. Good cast lead by Nora Zehetner.

Two sisters having fun driving through the countryside. The older sister lets the underaged nonlicensed girl take the wheel and as she gets the impulse to let loose and the car speeds up, the girl looses control resulting in an accident and an explosion. The younger sister is thrown free but the older sister being trapped burns in the wreckage (but lives). Many years later the traumatized little girl with a gut instinct that her sister is somehow still alive though horribly disfigured has now grown up and comes back to the place where the funeral was held. She finds her neice? obsessed that monsters are in the closet. The girl even rigs up a camera to take pictures every 30 minutes while she is asleep to prove her theroy. This fuels the aunt into suspecting that her dead older sister is haunting the place which then leads into accusations that foul play was at work within the household. Upon the closing scene, the revelations all come out and a momentary touching moment but then turns abruptly sad. I would have ended it different. That's my only peeve.
