The Benchwarmers (Blu-ray Disc, 2006)

This is a really fun movie. It has some pretty gross humor in it.. a lot of vomiting, etc. but it didn't detract from the nice story here. The movie, even though it is a comedy, has a nice little twist in it. It is a great underdog rising movie.

There are some wonderful comedic actors in this movie that help make this movie what it is. The plot was tight... the movie flowed nicely. This movie is certainly worth a look.

Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigalow, The Animal), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, School for Scoundrels), and David Spade (Dickie Roberts, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep) costar with Jon Lovitz (High School High, Little Nicky) in this film about a group of friends with no talents (or coordination, for that matter) who are tired of being picked on. They form a 3 man team to take on local Little League baseball teams in order to win a baseball stadium for the nerds and losers. During the tournament a scandal erupts and the team has to choose whether to quit or stay in for the long haul. This movie is extremely funny, and while being disgusting in some parts (Jon Heder picks his nose and eats it)it also has its redeeming parts (one character apologizes to someone he made fun of when he was in high school). Underneath its humor, this movie has a moral: Don't make fun of people because they are different.
