    These clubs have a nice traditional look at address but they are heavily sole weighted and produce high shots, plus they are pretty darn forgiving for forged blades. Great out of the rough. Their lofts are weaker than more recently made irons so they produce less distance per club number. But this 5 is loft equivalent to a more "modern" 6, so it's just a matter of adjusting your ego, and -- who knows -- maybe you'll like the idea of keeping a 3 iron you can hit in your bag. You probably won't need a gap wedge either, just a nice compatible sandy.
