About the Manufacturer
"There are no shortcuts in the quest for perfection"-These are the words of Ben Hogan, founder of Ben Hogan Company, one of the most legendary figures in the history of the game, and a man well known for his commitment to performance excellence. Mr. Hogan’s tour career was full of victories, with his first taking place at The Hershey Open, in 1938. The following year saw Mr. Hogan win an impressive 5 tournaments including a string of 4 in a row, for an entire decade Mr. Hogan rode a wave of victories that has forever secured his place in the halls of golf history. A true perfectionist, despite his numerous victories, Mr. Hogan became dissatisfied with the quality of the equipment available to golfers. He set out to design and manufacture the “best golf clubs in the world” with ”the most exacting tolerances modern machinery will allow”. Over the past 50 years, that guiding vision and commitment to quality has led countless amateurs and professional tour players to innumerable victories playing Ben Hogan clubs. The vision has become a reality. Ben Hogan Golf is part of the Top Flite Golf Company – a wholly owned subsidiary of Callaway Golf Company.

The 0 to 10 handicap with good tempo & rhythm will see a marked improvement in the KP effects, such as stopping & being closer to the cup.
Mid to High handicappers need to use a shaft other than the Apex 4, as I think this shaft will be too stiff for 90% of the players, even in the low handicap area. Most golfer want to hit all clubs farther than average, yet most fail to understand, Stiff shaft=straight online hit less distance, regular to whippy shafts produce bigger distances less cosistency generally. massive upper body strength also plays big part in this But when speaking of average golfers my statements of Stiffness vs. distance will bear true.
Everyone will notice the off center club head hits will still go amazingly straight, but will however usually drop just short of the intended target, online but just short. This is a speaks to the clubs "Forgiveablity" on those off center hits even if your at the 1 in 100 point in your game. I am a person who uses a 2 iron rather than a 5 wood & the long irons are probably the straightest I have experienced todate. Overall the playable with the prices avaluable on these sets at this moment makes them a tremendous value. (02/2006)

      Hogan FTX irons

I have been fortunate in owning many excellent sets of golf clubs from Titleist, Ping, Mizuno and Hogan. These Hogan FTX irons are my favorites! The quality put into the clubs are second to none. The set consists of three club head styles that transition through the set from the 1-iron down through the excellent Lob Wedge. This transition make each club more effective in its specific application, easier to hit well while retaining the magic feel of a forged blade-style golf club.
