Beltronics Pro RX65 Radar Detector

This is the first detector I have owned, but have seen many others working. Ease of set up is great. Windshield suction cups hold it well. Optional mounting equipment for other locations available if you need them. (NOT INCLUDED) GREAT instruction booklet included in the metal carrying case. Easy removal from the windshield via a push button, leaving the suction cups in place for easy re-mounting. Detects several types of speed traps, including the radar detector detectors, radar, infrared, and other new technology I have not heard of before. It is perhaps the best money I have spent to have a safe and enjoyable vacation. No need to watch the oncoming lanes for cops. The detector will tell me when they are near, including coming up from behind, which is how I received my last ticket a few years ago. SIMPLE recommendation. It is used and preferred by TRUCKERS!!! who drive millions of miles every year. Cost? About the same as a Whistler, but it has ALL the bells and whistles. According to the instructions, it has features and functions I will never need nor use, but they could be things that more savvy techs may want. Do your homework. READ about the detectors you are considering and what they do, BEFORE you even consider buying one. I did, and in the end, I am happy with what I got. My first warning from it was only three blocks from my home, but the car carrying radar was over a mile away. What I thought might be a malfunction, turned out to be proof of a GREAT signal detector. I will HIGHLY recommend this detector model for those who read the description and find it is what they are looking for. HOWEVER!!! Those who would blindly believe my testimony are idiots. Those that do their research based on my recommendation are smart shoppers. ENJOY!!!

This is my 3rd beltronics radar detector in the past 15 years and all have been great products and very reliable. Bottom line I always stick with products that perform well, the only option for me was which Beltronics model. For this purchase I spent the additional money for the blue screen model. I like the sleek design and the mounting bracket........ So far no complaints for any of my beltronics radar detectors......

This product does what its supposed to. One common misconception is that you will never get a ticket if you have a radar detector. this is not the case, MOST cops do not always have their radars on. Also a lot of newer technology out there allows for an auto on RADAR which is nearly impossible to catch early enough. I like the mute button on the car charger plug and I like the Red LED screen. GPS location functionality would be nice but either way this thing is quality.

I don't get to many false alarms in my area, making this device far superior then anything out by cobra!

This is the best radar detector to own. It detects X, Ku, K and Ka bands including Laser. It works in Europe and the Middle East. There is no substitute for the Pro RX65.

I like it. Seems to give some warning on Laser. I like the audio feature as well. It's expensive but so are tickets.

I was using an earlier version of Beltronic's radar detector. The RX65 is considerably better at filtering out false signals, especially X-city. It's ability to see over hills and around corners is outstanding. I would highly recommend this radar detector.

Product works great! The audible is helpful. I wonder if there is a way to program the radar detector to remember certain areas that always set the radar off.... Overall I am very satisfied with the product.

Love the detector. Has a great display, loud speaker, handy mute button, and easy to use buttons that you dont have to look at while driving (only 4 to remmeber)

Only thing i wish it had was arrows showing direction of siganl like the V1 but for the 200 bucks less, i'll live w/o it.

great detector but the power cords are junk! i used it for 15 mins and tried it again and now it wont turn on. so i bought a new cord but over all great detector

This is my first radar detector--I bought it because I drive a lot on rural roads or interstates on long stretches through the desert and have had several tickets becasue that kind of mind numbing driving makes it easy for the speedometer to creep up quite high, and lots of time the speed limit can change without much warning. I have found that the RX65 does a very good job at detecting radar when it is around, though I don't always get as much warning as might be helpful. Often it goes off and I cant see the threat, which doesn't necessarily mean it is not there. I have found that just having the detector in the car with me makes me more aware of my speed. While I am not usually the speed demon I fancied myself when I was a teenager, the RX65 has saved me on several occasions from a costly citation.

The devise is very sensitive. I am not a "leader of the pack" speeder, but often a follower. The detector picks up signals (mostly x-band) that allows me to avoid being the one who gets ticketed.

So far I like the display and the blue LED's
It has some good features and lots of settings
I feel like it will last a long time and as far
as I can tell it has been doing the job as I drive
between 400-500 miles a week on my job

Good radar, but sometime doesn't give u a signal in time. Or not morning till u get in front of police car. But in general good toy

The RX65 has superior range of detection with few false alerts. Isn't that why you have a radar detector in the first place?

The unit has a midrange price point but doesent compromise where it counts! (Detection)

I like the size, design, and functionality of this "policeman locator"....it seems to perform very well and helps to keep me informed about what is happening around me...I bought it because the price for this new item was lower on E-bay than anywhere else I had seen.

Very good to use in East Europe countries like Bulgaria since it offers a great range of detection on K and X bands. Just yesterday detected the COPS 2 miles away in a civil car.It saved me a huge ticket and may be more since I was with a 100klm above the speed limit.
