Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy (2005, Paperback)

I cannot speak highly enough about this book! I went out and bought it and could not put it down. I read the whole thing the first night i got it. I think all pregnant women should read this, and their men too!!!!

I purchased this book for my daughter who is pregnant with twins. She is still in the process of reading it but she is enjoying it.

Did not read the book myself but bought it for my pregnant daughter who loved it. She says it was very funny and informative. It shows that we all are human and even people as popular and beautiful as Jenny McCarthy suffer all the same feelings and dicomfort when pregnant. Jenny puts her comedy into the book and makes the suffering a little easier and fun to laugh at. Highly recommended!

Absolutely LOVED this book and just bought one for a friend of mine who is expecting. This is a hilarious book that will make any expecting mother to feel normal and that what she is going through is perfectly normal and something to enjoy and laugh about.

I love how blunt Jenny McCarthy is about pregnancy!! This book is amazing, everyone should follow up with baby laughs. She is amazing as an actress and even as an author. Anyone who reads this will fall in love with her twisted humor.

It was a funny, fast read book. Not a book I would buy if I wanted to know facts about having a baby. I enjoyed reading it and would recommend for someone if they needed a break from other fact based baby books. I look forward to reading Baby Laughs next.

I enjoyed reading this book for the funny way she expressed what happened during her pregnancy. Chances are if you have been pregnant before, none of it will shock you, and you aren't likely to learn anything in this book. It is basically one woman's pregnancy story, not to be confused with one of those "all of the things your frinds never told you about pregnancy" books. Pick it up anyway, it's light reading, it's fun, and if it's your first pregnancy you might take away a piece of knowledge about what to expect. It's only like 150 pages, you can read it in one sitting. Happy reading, enjoy the laugh.

Growing up in the era where Jenny McCarthy was on Singled Out, and was the only famed femme who didn't care about passing gas, but really flaunted it, this book seemed like it would be hilarious! The introduction was pretty typical for her style... Then the book just seems to take a left turn, it was pretty jumpy on each topic, and to me, it was MORE blatently honest than the Jenny McCarthy that I remember. If you're a woman looking for a book about how to handle things during pregnancy, this book is NOT for you unless you want to know what "crazy" is for a pregnant woman. There were things in the book that talk about how she had morning sickness for the duration of the entire pregnancy, without stating that this is not the case for all women, nor do all women become the mean-cold hearted mood swingers (it does happen, but NOT all women go through this, and that wasn't stated). This is all about Jenny McCarthy and HER pregnancy, and ONLY her pregnancy, more of a pregnancy autobiography, not really one that could help you out unless you are just like her. Still a good read, unless you can visualize medical procedures, and get queezy easily.

This was a very quick read. I gave this as a gift and I read it first myself so we would have something to laugh about. cute, mindless, entertaining and funny!!

I loved the book. The only reason i didn't give an excellent rating was for personal preference. The language isn't always clean or ness. This book was so funny that i remembered an event from the book recently and pulled the book off the shelf to re-read it. I'm not pregnant. The story was just one of my favorites and I wanted a good laugh. Second time around, it was just as good.

Ok, so all the professional reviews of this book say that it is laugh out loud funny. As a pregnant person I thought it would be amusing and something I could relate to. However, I was disappointed in this book. It's not that funny and it's so short, it goes into absolutely no detail, so there's not even any useful knowledge to go on. Don't buy this. I would recommend "A Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" if you want something funny and informative!

This book is different than most other maternity books because it doesn't offer advice or prescribe certain things. Rather, it's light reading that will help you see that even celebrities battle the same maternity issues that we all do!

Loved this book. Found it be quite funny. Kept me entertained on a road trip and I could not stop reading aloud the book to my husband who found the book quite humorous. Best book I have ever read.

I really realted to this book. i had so many problems with my first pregnancy that i needed something to shed a little bit of light on this pregnancy for me!! I am almost done with this pregnancy, 4 weeks left to be exact, but i have to say that things happen in pregnancy that were realyed in this book that even as an experienced woman i was afriad to mention to my ob becasue i thought i was the only one, and that they were a little out there!!! not anymore. jenny brought my comfort with pregnancy to a whole new level!! i am glad to know that these things happen to everyone, or most every one. i think that this book is a must have. its real and funny!!

I actually bought this book for my best friend who is pregnant with her first child. I really wanted her to read a book that really lays it on the line and made her laugh. She has bought EVERY book on pregnance except this one.
Jenny McCarthy is straight forward and a little vulgar...but the realness of the book makes it easily identifiable with any pregnant person. I hate to read and I couldn't put it down. My cheecks hurt from smiling so much.
I also recomend "Baby Laughs."

So funny, it will take 1-2 days to finish but really cute!
Jenny says it all and does not hold back on the truth behind pregnancy ;)

price tags were left on the book At 1.99 and I payed $6.00 for it. When you are selling on ebay you should take off the tags of what you payed for it so thatyou do not upset people

Easy reading, very funny, a must for all mothers or soon to be mothers. So many this Jenny talks about are so true and I think she is so funny in the way she put it. Would make a great gift for any soon to be mothers.

This book was great. It makes you feel like you're certainly not alone in your pregnancy quirks in a very entertaining way. Everyone should be able to talk to openly about their pregnancy and how its not just all fun and wonderfulness! I'm asking my husband to read this now too! Well worth buying and sharing with other pregnant friends.

I love this book! My husband and I are getting ready to start trying for children. I have bought several books of reference on the subject and this is probably my favorite! Jenny McCarthy really puts things into laymen terms and is completely hysterical! It is also comforting to know that an American sex symbol gets fat, gets stretch marks, and feels self conscience just like the rest of us. I would certainly recommend this book to any expecting mothers and fathers, as well as anybody else who has children in there lives. It is a wonderful look at the pains and joys of child bearing.

Bought this book for my wife, as she was expecting our son to be born and all I heard was laughing coming from the next room, once she started reading this book.
