I decided to buy this book to see if it could help me lose weight. I'm almost 60 years old, and have NEVER been able to lose more than a few pounds at a time, (generally water weight)before gaining it right back. I've been steadily gaining weight since age 48 when I'd quit smoking. After realizing that I'd put on roughly 2 #'s every year(21 #'s), with no end in sight, I ran across this book in my 'surfing' and after reading it's reviews, decided to give it a try. The hormonal problems shared in the book seemed exactly what my problems were. Increasing excess belly fat with no end in sight.....I just kept putting on more pounds no matter how much I exercised or how little I ate.
I'm into day 3 of the program and have already lost 2 pounds and 1/2 inch off my waistline----which by the way, is supposed to be no more than 35 inches around on a woman.
The book explains how the hormones regulate body fat and decrease with age so most women premenopausal are estrogen dominate... all due to an inbalance of hormones. The book guides you as to what supplements can/do help plus an entire month of recipes (delicious, so far)that help you to learn to regulate your system and get it back in balance. I'm really looking forward to being a size 10 again...
I give this book an excellent rating and recommend it to any man or woman that has tried everything to lose weight, especially around their middle, without success. The eating plan is not hard to follow and if you read the entire book, cover to cover, it'll explain exactly what you need to do to get help with your weight loss efforts.
