Belly of the Beast (DVD, 2003)

The movie was an excellent one. With beautiful cinematography and stunning martial arts, this is another Steven Segal movie that you don't want to miss. If you're a fan, pick this one up. I bought for around 3 dollars used, shipping included. Loved it!

Seagal has done it again. This is another high action fast moving movie. It has you on the edge of your seat from the start.

This dvd was a very good value and in great condition. Steven Segal has a daughter and some bad guys capture her and Steve wants her back by any means necessary. Over your dead body? Count on it because big Steve is not playing around. Another installment from the big guy in pony tail. Butt does get kicked, plenty of action and a slower, older Steven Segal. Hey, at least you get what you pay for( at a good price). My dad loved it for his father's day gift.

I had this DVD in my collection already, but I bought this one for a relative who needed for his collection.

Excellent. Got it in a timely fashion. Love the movie. Will buy from them again. Trying to get all of Steven Seagal movies. I love the actor and really enjoy his movies. I wanted to buy it because I didn't have this one.

The reason I bought this movie was 1 it was a christmas gift for a family member. And I like finding deals on movies I am searching for why go to stories and pay that high price for the movie when you can come to ebay and find exactly what your searching for. My family had heard about these movie and he wanted, seen it on ebay made a bid and won it. I thought oh when it comes it would be in bad shape scratched up and all that and it was in wonderful shape and all and it was a great movie.

Seaqal's characters are like no others. Most action heros get the crap kicked out of them and then stage a miraculus comeback to win the day. Seagal's action heros kick ass from the beginning to the end!

I understand that Seagal is a real-life martial arts master, which provides credibility like Chuck Norris, and unlike the usual mamby-pamby Hollywood hero's.

I like these type of movies. The opening bid was low and I liked that. I figured my total out of pocket cost which was the shipping charge plus the most I would bid could not exceed about $4.00 since I can buy this dvd brand new in the store for very close to that price. I could make a bid with the shipping for under that much so that's why I bid. I bid 25¢ and would not have bid any higher than 50¢. I did win the auction for 25¢. The shipping was $3.50 for a total out of pocket of $3.75. That is very close to my max for a used dvd though. There was good communication with the seller and the delivery time was not super fast but average and that was good enough for me.
My only real dissatisfaction was the "actual" shipping that it really cost. The seller actually paid $2.13 and sent it media mail. That made the mark up on shipping over 150% so I wasn't very pleased about that. I was lucky that there was nothing wrong with the dvd. If there'd been a problem, I might have been able to send it back. However, I would have been refunded the 25¢ winning bid and been out the $3.50 for shipping. The seller would've still made a profit of $1.37 plus gotten the dvd back. The dvd was not packaged in anything special. Just brown paper wrap. That was okay with me but it shows no extra cost involved for mailing although if there were, to me it would go into the auction initial opening bid price. This kind of thing looks like an attempt to circumvent the ebay fees involved with listing an item for sale. It is a little on the dishonest side which I don't approve of. Plus, as I stated, it was me that took all the risk with a low bid but overpriced shipping. So I would recommend people do buy from this seller, but beware that the shipping is going to be overpriced and that means there is some risk to the buyers. The seller seemed to me like a very nice person and I would have simply loved to leave a positive feedback. It was the bloated shipping that made me not leave any feedback though and I thought that was a shame. And I rate this transaction as Average because this seems to be the average way items are sold on Ebay. Thank you and have a great 2008 year.

This is not "Saving Private Ryan", and its also not "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". But, it isnt a bad lower budget kung fu movie. It was skillfully directed by a director that knows how to direct movies of this genre.

If you are not a kung fu fan, or a Steven Seagal fan then you probably won't care for it.

Seagal doesn't do a whole lot of Aikido in this one. He performs more of a theatrical Chinese Kung Fu. This isnt a bad thing since he has a deep interest in various martial arts. And lets face it, there are only so many Aikido techniques that really lend themself to motion pictures.

There are lots of cool fights, a decent sound track, and eastern spiritual overtones. Thailand was a perfect setting for this one.
