Book Review: I Believe in Visions by Kenneth E. Hagin

I've been studying about living the Spirit Led Life (as a born-again Christian) and the teacher I've been studying under mentioned this book in one of the sessions. He read a portion from the book about Bro. Hagin having a vision of the Lord and how in that vision the Lord taught him taking authority over evil spirits. It really got my attention as this is something I want to grow in the knowlege and wisdom of so I purchased and read the book. I still have a couple of chapters to go... but it surely has been helpful for me as well as my family in many, many ways.
This book is a fairly detailed account of Bro. Hagin's most prominent visions of the Lord as well as his testimony about his early life of being born prematurely and living the life of a sickly, then eventually invalid child (until he was around 16 years old.) Not too many Believers in those days really had a grasp of healing and confession, but on the sickbed he discovered that God's Word promised healing... and he was miraculously healed by God during that time. He also tells of a death experience while on the sickbed in which he actually died and immediately went to the entrance of hell upon his spirit leaving his body. It was this experience as a teenage boy that made him commit his life to the Lord and got him started on his pathway to studying God's Word and eventually receiving his complete healing!
There are so many things he shares about his ministry gifts. There's too much revelation in this book for me to tell you everything that I have been reading and studying. He specifically tells of his spiritual gifts that the Lord had given him and how the Lord himself helped him develop and maintain those gifts. He had a prophetic and teaching ministry and goes into great detail about how to resist the enemy and even aspects of his personal prayer life. The accounts he writes on are so vivid and detailed, that there is enough information to help you grow specifically. I found him answering some questions I've had about certain aspects of ministry that I didn't previously understand. It is very easy to read and was a hard book for me to put down.
This book has really stirred me up, encouraged me, and compelled me to go forward, walking stronger in my walk with Jesus Christ. It is going to be a permanent part of my Spiritual library and I recommend it to any Spirit-filled Believer. If any of the subject matter grabbed your attention or if you are hungry to really grow in the Lord, then I suggest you pick up your copy and get to reading too! God bless you!!!
