I normally don't read these kinds of books, and would never have bought it for myself, but a friend got it for me as a gift so I felt obligated to read it. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The storyline was wonderful and very unexpected. Highly recommended!

) This is the most unusual book I have every read. I enjoyed it very much. I gave me many insights into the minds of the kidnaped as well as the kidnappers. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a deep story line with realistic and compelling characters. It a page turner.

This book took over a month to reach me. The seller did not respond to my questions and I had to file a dispute. I would not recommend this seller to anyone, they are unreliable and unprofessional.

Quick delivery and in condition promisedThe book came to be in a timely maner and it was in the condition that it was promised. My book club was reading the book so that is why I decided to buy it and this was the least expesive option. Worked out great!

I bought this book on a recommendation and proceeded to read it for about three months! The start is promising, and it is poetic in parts. Still, it is such a slow moving plot that I was bored with it chapter after chapter, and only continued reading hoping for some excitement. For me, the end was the last straw. My feeling is Patchett herself got bored and ended it in a careless, trite fashion just to get it over with. I'm still kicking myself for not giving the book away after the third chapter. On the bright side, if you run out of Ambien, this book could be your replacement!
