If, like me, you only happened to see the few minutes of 'highlights' broadcast after the Opening Ceremony for the 2008 Olympics in Bejing if you buy this DVD you are in for a treat.
It shows the entire spellbinding event - many host cities will try to equal this but it will be a long time, if ever, until it is bettered.
Magnificent doesn't even come close, a truly magical record of a wonderful spectacle.

Best Olympics of all time!! Opening Ceremony wont ever be matched ... The drums and lighting of the flame blew me away... Any fan of Olympics needs to own this

We missed part of the opening ceremonies of the 2008 olympics. When I found that a DVD was available I started searching. We enjoyed the show just as though it was the original show. We made a visit to Beijing earlier in the summer, and watching this was like revisiting. China raised the bar of excellence on how scattered citizens of a country can come together in one place and work in harmony to create a human masterpiece. How beautiful they were as a unit and individually.

I had wanted this DVD ever since the Bejing Olympics. I was thrilled with it when it arrived so soon. It was just as descriped in the ad, new and in the package.
