Synopsis Ben and Carolyn--a sculptor and a pediatrician--have two teenage children, Jacob and Judith. Jacob's girlfriend is killed, and it appears that Jacob is the murderer. Ben's reaction is to conceal the truth, hide evidence, and refuse to testify before the grand jury. Carolyn and Judith must deal with these various kinds of shame, horror, and falseness as best they can, and must choose between truth and loyalty.
