Before & After Getting Your Puppy by Ian Dunbar (2004)
Ian Dunbar is very good. He states that this 2004 edition is his best due to the freedom and help he was given this time around. All puppy and new dog owners should have this no nonsense book. Dogs are dogs and should be treated as such. I know that does not sound like a good thing to most humans but, it is all so true. Canines, regardless of age prefer to have an authority figure to guide and protect them. Look at how their fellow packmates correct them and respect them. Although some instances in a dogs life can be compared to a human's wants and needs, it is really viewed by them in a different eye. Add Cesar Millan's information to Dr. Dunbar's and you should be all set to handle almost anything that comes your way! Do you obligitory research as a good owner of a dog and you will have a good dog! Your dog is a reflection of your knowledge. Many Thanxx to Dr. Dunbar for his dedication to canine health and welfare. Best Wishes!
