Bee Movie Game (Xbox 360, 2007)

I was skeptical about this game since I didn't like the movie much but I was pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong. This game is squarely aimed at young children but it is also surprisingly deep. Unlike most movie based games, this is not a game on rails forcing you to re-play to movie scene by scene. The game lets you explore the inner workings of the hive community shown so briefly in the movie. Throughout the game, you are encouraged to try out careers (ala SIMs) when you are tasked as completing assignments of increasing difficulty. The game starts wtih Barry recalling his adventures to a TV anchor. This sets you up for visiting the hive and playing through dozens of minigames and adventures that let you experience environments from the movie. Overall I would recomment this movie to parents and fans of platformer/coin collecting games.
My only complaint is that m0st of the higher level quests are really beyond your typical novice or younger children.
